The WN573HBE2 has a waterproof cable gland on the bottom panel. Thread your Ethernet cable through in this exact order:

  1. Pass the cable through: hex cap → sealing plug → hex stud → sealing ring (order matters — don't mix it up).
  2. Plug the RJ45 connector firmly into the router's WAN/LAN port.
  3. Screw the hex stud tight onto the port housing.
